It’s dedicated to all those ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the machas and the machis who love summer clothes and cannot stop wearing them throughout the year irrespective of summers, winters, spring or fall.
Vibrant colours and comfort is what defines summers for me. That instantly reminds me of casuals. But not every day can we sport a denim and tee. As much as I love casuals, I love to experiment with them to create different looks and add a dust of “chic” to it.

For the first look, I styled distressed/ ripped blue denims with a vibrant floral tie-knot top. It’s comfortable, sartorial and doesn’t crease in weird places. Also, it SCREAMS street style- thanks to those denim rips. LOVE! I like to keep casuals simple and minimal without much accessorising. So just threw in a handcuff and a pair of double-pearl earrings. Completed the whole look with a pair of tan loafers, sling bag and I was good to go! 🙂

The second look is a denim-style playsuit. Chambray looks denims and is FREAKING comfortable. I have always been a fan of jumpsuits and playsuits so I absolutely loved styling this one. I haven’t accessorised much if you notice, just a big dial watch and a clutch. You can also style the playsuit with a tote and switch to a day look if you have errands to run! Finished off the entire look with a pair of bling white flats. One advantage of owning a playsuit is you can dress it down with flats or amp it up with a pair of ski-high heels or stilettos. Experiment as much as you like with playsuits and the result will always be fruitful.

So, officially, we are bidding goodbye to beloved summer. She gave us the Sun and trends that we flaunted flawlessly. From crop tops to boyfriend shirts, from floral denim shorts to ombre jeans, maxis to peek-a-boos, the season was a sure head turner all the while.

THE SALE IS OVER!

Good things don’t last for long. It holds true with what we are trying to say here. The End of Season Sale at Lee Cooper is over. Nevertheless, the season saw a lot of cool campaigns and brand endorsements on the social media. And we loved receiving messages from our fans who participated enthusiastically in all our campaigns run on Facebook and Twitter.

SALE – THE GOOD KIND OF CHEAP

Yes, it’s here! You guys have been waiting a long time now. The winter season is getting over and it’s that time of the year when spending money over fashion seems cheaper(well, relatively).
So, besides sharing the SALE news with you, here is a lesser known fact about how discounting products by brands was initialized.

Major fashion brands across the world work on the concept of designing a new range of products each season, depicting the fast that fashion is influenced by seasons. While, designing collection for two seasons annually, Spring/Summer(S/S) and Autumn/Winter(A/W) is the most common strategy, some brands also design for four different seasons. As a season starts, products are sold at the set maximum retail price(MRP). Discounting of products only happens when the next season is around the corner. You see there’s no point to keep the merchandise in the stores or send them back to dump in a warehouse. So, what do they do?

To prevent baring costs of hoarding products that will anyway not be sold at MRP, they are put up on discounts as discounted price (DP) to sell them faster. After all, new season will have new products to be exhibited in the stores. And whatever stock is left after the sale season ends, it is sent to multi-brand outlets that sell discounted products throughout the year.
This cycle repeats every season and so you get to shop from the sale season.

RESOLUTIONS- so mainstream! How about a HAPPY LIST?

Aren’t we all over that phase of making and breaking resolutions each year? Well, to make you feel a little comfortable, it is perfectly OK to fall off the scape sometimes. After all, ‘goals are 1^st Jan kind of a thing’ said who? Take a chill pill and relax.

Over the whole of last year, we have noticed how people have become socially expressive about their lives and day-to-day activities. From celebrities to artists, in fact all of us, we put up pictures on Instagram and tweet about where we are hanging out or relaxing on a lazy day, the food we are eating or posing with friends we meet after a long time and other realities of our lives.

The good thing you ask? We have realized the importance of being our true selves and are open about it. The way we are, we are showing it without any extra topping on top but just some filters. We are celebrating our real selves.

So, coming back to resolutions, let’s not make any strict rulebook that we wouldn’t be excited about imbibing in our lives. Instead, list out things that make you happy and make A HAPPY LIST! Life is made of moments, emotions, love and laughter. Here are some of our suggestions guys. And we say, share it with your friends on whatsapp 😉

1. Smile often. Even at strangers
Smile often and spread happiness around. Sometimes a stranger can make your day and so could you!

2. Eat, drink and be merry
Savor the taste of your meal. Don’t multitask while you are at it. Then, drink up and be merry!

3. Reconnect with old friends but keep a room to make new friends as well
Old friends are a treasure who have been a part of your life for long. It’s always good to keep them close. But, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t meet new people. They will always something interesting to share.

4. Don’t gossip. Socialize
Call it quits. Gossips are meaningless. Instead, socialize and talk something interesting please.

5. Think sustainability
Amidst all the fun, don’t forget to give something back to the nature. If not much, you could take small steps towards a sustainable living to decrease the carbon footprint.

6. Develop a good relationship with your body
Your soul resides in the body. Remember how mommy always keeps the house clean because we live in there. You get it!

7. Be social offline
Socializing is good. But, you can’t express much through a screen, can you? Go out and meet people, share some laughs and hugs.

8. Leave the baggage behind
Consider it like cleaning your wardrobe. Throw away things that don’t fit in perfectly anymore. Be it people or things or feelings!

9. Buy quality and not quantity
This one is coming in straight from the makers of a quality product. We don’t believe in making products that don’t last long or just follow the fad of fast fashion. They are your second skin and should be chosen carefully.

10. Try your hand at new things
If work gets the whole week monotonous, compensate for it on the weekend. Learn a new skill, something you have always wanted to. Widen your horizons, not to be perfect in everything but to experience it all.

11. Lastly, keep moving!
We literally mean traveling by this. Travel as a wanderer, not a tourist. Live outside your comfort zone and the cityscapes. Get to know about different cultures, meet different people and embrace the beauty of nature.
