Lee Cooper, Unbeatable Since 1908

The SS16 collection is inspired by modern costermongers, third generation market traders working in the East End. Their grandparents worked in Spitalfields Market, selling fruit and veg, and were known for their flamboyance, love of colour and swagger. Today, this modern generation is made of entrepreneurs, artisans, craftsmen and designers who still live and work in the East End, but are doing things a bit differently than those before them.

With an eclectic, fresh look, the Lee Cooper SS16 collection features styles inspired by generational hand-me-downs mixed with modern silhouettes. This season’s denim includes the classic Harry & Pearl fits, made in interesting fabrications, dark blacks, greys and acid washes.

Lee Cooper – Made to explore

This month we feature a blogger from Romania – Liana Popa of Aveti Si Pe Roz (which means You and Pink?). We usually feature Indian bloggers but we just couldn’t ignore her creativity, passion and effort and we just had to make her a part of our Lee Cooper Kin.

Lee Cooper’s Autumn Winter 2015 collection inspired her to explore and what more? She made a video too along with two edgy looks.

Can’t let go of summer!

“Palm trees, ocean breeze, salty air, sun kissed hair. That endless summer, take me there.”

Our newest member of Lee Cooper Kin quotes this as she reviews the collection at Lee Cooper. Meet Princy from The Jeromy Diaries and read on what she has to say as she tries out the LC merchandise-

It’s dedicated to all those ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the machas and the machis who love summer clothes and cannot stop wearing them throughout the year irrespective of summers, winters, spring or fall.
Vibrant colours and comfort is what defines summers for me. That instantly reminds me of casuals. But not every day can we sport a denim and tee. As much as I love casuals, I love to experiment with them to create different looks and add a dust of “chic” to it.

For the first look, I styled distressed/ ripped blue denims with a vibrant floral tie-knot top. It’s comfortable, sartorial and doesn’t crease in weird places. Also, it SCREAMS street style- thanks to those denim rips. LOVE! I like to keep casuals simple and minimal without much accessorising. So just threw in a handcuff and a pair of double-pearl earrings. Completed the whole look with a pair of tan loafers, sling bag and I was good to go! 🙂LC_kin_sep_jeromy_diaries_2 LC_kin_sep_jeromy_diaries_1 LC_kin_sep_jeromy_diaries_3

The second look is a denim-style playsuit. Chambray looks denims and is FREAKING comfortable. I have always been a fan of jumpsuits and playsuits so I absolutely loved styling this one. I haven’t accessorised much if you notice, just a big dial watch and a clutch. You can also style the playsuit with a tote and switch to a day look if you have errands to run! Finished off the entire look with a pair of bling white flats. One advantage of owning a playsuit is you can dress it down with flats or amp it up with a pair of ski-high heels or stilettos. Experiment as much as you like with playsuits and the result will always be fruitful.
